Verdant V8-BB-7S Line Voltage Heat Only Thermostat - Programmable
Integrated occupancy sensor uses a compbination of motion and thermal sensing technologies for 100% reliable occupancy detection and enables advanced energy saving features that allow incrementally adjusting the room temperature setpoint when the room is unoccupied
Reduce the temperature setpoint by a few degrees just minutes after the room becomes unoccupied and instantly start saving energy. Once the room becomes occupied again, the temperature is restored to maintain the desired comfort level.
Completely eliminate unnecessary energy consumption by setting the thermostat setpoint to a specific temperature after the room has been unoccupied for a select number of hours.
Easy 7-day Programming
7-day programmable 'Automatic' temperature control mode allows pre-programming up to four (4) temperature changes for each day of the week to fit your schedule and reduce energy consumption.
Convenient 'Copy' option duplicates daily settings to simplify the set-up of a custom 7-day program.
Flexible Applications with Constant Performance Monitoring
"Heater" and "Convector" thermostat operation modes allow selecting the right mode for controlling different heating equipment.
"Heater" mode designed for use with Baseboard and Radiant heater features on-screen power meter that proportionally shows the heater power consumption.
"Convector" mode designed for use with forced-fan convector heaters features animated fan indicator that shows the air-convector heater fan activity on the thermostat screen.

I originally ordered 10 of these thermostats. Over the course of several weeks, I had to be shipped 14 before I had 10 working thermostats. Having 4 bad units out of 14 makes me really question the quality control and long term reliability of these thermostats. That said, they have an occupancy sensor and a setback for when the room is unoccupied which is a great feature.

This is a great thermostat. Easy to install and configure. For landlords it would be great if the therm would have a programmable limit, say a maximum high setting of 74 deg instead of allowing the tenant to crank the heat to 91 deg. Otherwise great.

Great product to use in rooms that are irregularly occupied (play rooms, home offices, etc) making a programmable thermostat ineffective.
Smaller rooms with baseboard heat will end up with a small temperature overshoot, but a factor of 10 better than conventional bi-metallic thermostats.
Easy to follow set-up and programming instructions.
Keep in mind the location of the thermostat so that motion in a hallway doesnt trigger the heat to turn on.
