I have bought many different types of thermostats throught out my life and by far this one takes the cake. Honeywell makes the best products around, I mean this. I have spent countless hours researching what will work perfectly for my new home. I love this model. The HD is awesome. I can see the display from over 30 feet away. I love the precise accuracy that the temperature it holds and keeps. The outside temp with humidity is right one to the degree and percent. I am not joking. I am more than happy that I bought this unit and would totally recommend this to anyone who wants comfort, ease of use and a display that rocks. I also love the remote control unit. Before I get up in the morning, I turn the heat on right from my bed side. Instead of having two thermostats, I use the remote and it is like having a dual unit. Now this completes my new custom built home. Awesome!!!

I think this product is great. The controls are easy to use. I have only had the product for three weeks and still need to look into some more features, but if you are looking for a thermostat and humidistat in one along with a wireless remote, this is definitely the way to go. Also, if you have a new born, it's really nice to have the remote so you know the room the child is in maintains an accurate temperature even in an old home. Hope this helps.

This is a well made thermostat with a nice remote unit (personal comfort control). You can feel the quality of the thermostat and remote when handling - they feel solid and work very well.
The installation was straight forward. Even though the manufacterer recomends a pro install, nearly anyone can install this. Just be sure to check how many wires go to your current thermostat - this unit requires 5. However, if you only have 4 (like I did), be sure to pick up the Honeywell wiresaver ( THP9045A1007)that will easily fix this issue. The wall thermostat was a bit smaller than my old thermostat, so I also added the wallplate (THP9045A1007) for the unit, so I didn't have to do any wall repairs. It looks and works great! At night I operate my thermostat from the remote unit up in my bedroom - since upstairs bedroom gets hot while downstairs is cold, this feature will save me a fortune this winter (5 degree temp differential between upstairs and downstairs). I have no regrets in paying a bit more for this great equipment.

Great product. Easy to install (Prothermostats.com includes video tutorial). This product solved a builder error in our new home. We needed to move the thermostat to our living room and this product enables us to do that, at a fraction of the cost of having the house rewired! Actually, this product is better because we can now place the thermostat in any room! The display is attractive and includes a remote for outdoor temp. We love this product! This is a great product, however I would like to see another accessory and an added function. First would be a wall mounted remote that resembles the primary touchscreen unit. This would be good for the upstairs area instead of the night-stand remote. Second, how about making the primary or secondary touchscreen unit controllable via IP. This would allow remote control of thermostat on vacation homes or while traveling.

This thermostat requires an extra power wire. Some builders, to save a buck, only install a four-wire cable to the original thermostat. Fortunately, Honeywell has a $30 solution: The Honeywell WireSaver Module, part #THP9045A1007, available from this site. This module mounts near the furnace (or zone controller). It accepts four wires coming from the Prestige thermostat and connects to the furnace with five. The Prestige is designed to communicate with this device using only the four wires. Your furnace or zone controller, however, will "see" five wires and be happy.

This thermostat is the best of the best. When considering this thermostat, do not hesitate to spring the extra cash. It's worth it. The only thing is, this thermostat needs to be installed by a very confident DIYer or by a professional. When I ordered this stat, I didn't realize that this was part of Honeywell's "Professionally Installed" line of thermostats. Not wanting to spend the money to pay someone for a service call and installation, I decided to do some research and find out if it could be done myself. After reading info all over the Internet about this and other stats, I gave it a try. Turns out, reseach pays off. Installation went smooth and the stat works very well. Menus are very intuitive. Layout is excellent. Touch controls are fantastic. The remote is incredible and a VERY nice convienence. Excellent comfort system. Don't hesitate.

Make sure you have access to 24v wire which is usually not needed in standard thermostat install.
