Comments about Beko Heavy Duty Metal Thermostat Guard with Solid Base:

I bought these for my fire department to put in our rental hall, we got 7 of them. These covers are garbage, they aren't hard to install but they are junk, they pop right open and don't secure anything. Everyone that saw them complained about them. They are big, bulky and we are throwing ours out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Comments about Beko Heavy Duty Metal Thermostat Guard with Solid Base:

This is the best made thermostat box I have found on the market without paying allot or having someone hand make one. The plastic box I installed, lasted only 2 days before a tenant broke into it to change the thermostat. The locking mechanism could be a bit stronger/harder to jimmie. It is ugly, but can be painted/disguised. It would be more convenient if it came with 2 keys.

Comments about Beko Heavy Duty Metal Thermostat Guard with Solid Base:

This is a good lock box. The only problem is that it has a small metal tab that holds the left side of the box - they should beef that up a little.
Overall though - you will not be disappointed.

Comments about Beko Heavy Duty Metal Thermostat Guard with Solid Base:

The metal tab that the lock hooks too is so thin, that even the slightest pull, bends the tab out and it unit pops open. I thought I didn't get it closed properly, but upon inspection could clearly see that the latch-tab just bent. I had to rig a stronger hook. It looks secure, but even a child could open with only the slightest pull.

Once securely attached to the wall though locked, an ssociate was able to easily tap the lock lose in a matter of seconds. It appears that even a young child would be able to open it with little effort. Threw it in the trash, it wasnt worth the cost of return shipping.

Second delivery was not solid base as described, but was same size and was able to make work. Would have liked the same solid base that was ordered and recieved in first order.
