. Real-Time Clock keeps time during power failure; automatically updates for daylight savings.
. Armchair Programming allows you to remove thermostat from wall to set the schedule.
. Precise Temperature Control (+/- 1 F) reliable, consistent comfort.
. Multiple HOLD options allows you to modify schedule indefinitely or for a specific time.
. Change Reminders reminds you to service or replace the air filter, humidifier pad, ultraviolet lamp or thermostat batteries.
. Programmable Fan increases air quality when combined with a whole-house air cleaner.
. Outdoor Temperature Indication (with optional sensor) shows current outdoor temperature on the display to help you plan outdoor activities.
. This model allows you to decrease summer humidity. The thermostat monitors humidity. When humidity increases, the thermostat runs the air conditioner longer to reduce humidity (up to 3°F below your cooling temperature setting). The intent is not to actually make the system reach the Relative Humidity setting; the intent is to make the home owner feel more "comfortable". This is done by moving the temperature set point down 1 degree for every 4% Relative Humidity.

I thought this unit, for the price, I would be able to set the humidity so the A/C would start at the set percentage. Very expensive for a programable thermostat.

Comments about Honeywell VisionPro 8000 Programmable MultiStage Thermostat with Dehumidification:
As a renter, I replaced the apartment thermostat with this model. I have since moved to another apartament -- reinstalled the original apartment thermostat and took 8000 to the new apartment. Functions great, easy to program (without needing the instructions), does the job, and is very easy to install. I particularly like the feature where the fan can be set to come on randomly at additional times to circulate air (evens out temp variations in different rooms) through the apartment, without having to just leave the fan running all the time. I purchased the MultiStage version so it would work with whatever apartment equipment I encountered. I would recommend it to anyone.
