from Wilmington, DE on 3/7/2010This was a new type of humidifier for me, but the steam unit is the only way to go. When used with the Honeywell Prestige HD thermostat, everything is automatic, including fill and monitoring outdoor humidity. Humidity comes up fast and stays uniform. Unit can be hooked up wirelessly to the Prestige thermostat so no need to run new wire. The only difficulty I had was that the unit had a funky water level sensor that had to be dealt with, otherwise I would have given it a 5.
