Comments about Honeywell C7189U-1005 Indoor Sensor:
I installed this with my IAQ control. (YTH9421C1002). The thermostat averages the temperature between this thermometer and the one in the thermostat itself. Works great!

Comments about Honeywell C7189U-1005 Indoor Sensor:
The remote temp sensor was easy to wire up (same thing as the "home base") Interestingly, it seems to be more accurate than the sensor in the thermostat itself because now the displayed "Room Temp" matches what I measure independently much better than it did before.
I purchased it because I just added a gas stove to my living room and as soon as that started to crank out the heat my furnace would no longer run since the thermostat was at the other end of the room. The living room stayed warm but the rooms away from that would not get enough heat. Net result of controlling the main furnace off the sensor in my bedroom and controlling the gas stove with the remote (wireless) sensor that came with the stove was great.
The only real hassle was running the wire from the thermostat to my bedroom. I have a finished basement and it was way too cold in the attic to mess around up there so I ran the wire as inconspicuously as possible through the house itself. When spring comes I'll re-route the wire through the attic.
If you have an unfinished basement or easy access to the attic then I would say this is a a great option. The only other option to consider would be a wireless system, but that would require also changing the thermostat itself, and I didn't feel like doing that.

Comments about Honeywell C7189U-1005 Indoor Sensor:
Received exactly what I ordered, on-time and at the agreed price. Highly recommend this buyer.
Note: These sensors cannot be used in a pair of two. Honeywell site doesn't mention it but they must be used in a series of 1,4, 16, etc. Other than that little issue everything was correct -but that is on Honeywell not the reseller.
