The ETD5SS thermostat provides on/off control of motors, valves, contactors, electric heating elements and other HVAC equipment in response to changes in space temperature.
Single Pole Double Throw Heat OR Cool line voltage thermostat. This thermostat has a snap action switch operated by a bimetal actuator.
Only 2 wires connect to thermostat
For cooling only - load connects to normally open terminal
For heating only - load connect to normally closed terminal
50o - 90o Range

the entry to this home has a huge skylight ,and temperatures reach over 100 degrees in that area. so I installed an exhaust fan in that area. So the fan sucks the excess heat out of that area, allowing the air conditioning not to have to work as hard .it works exactly the way I planned for it too . thank you

The thermostat was easy to install, but I don't understand why it can't be wired to control heat in winter and a.c. in summer without having to switch the wire from one pole to the other or install a double thro switch externally.
