Comments about Honeywell Honeywell Digital LineVoltProT 7000 Non-Programmable Heat Only Thermostat:
This in-line thermostat for the electric baseboard heat in our "in-law" apartment is a great improvement over the old bimetallic units it replaces. The old units were very imprecise and tended to stick and overheat the rooms. I have already replaced two of the three heating zones and will probably invest in the other one soon. This thermostat is easy to install and the installation instructions are easy to follow. I'll worry a lot less this Winter about the pipes freezing because the thermostat may be stuck "off" or wasting electricity when it stayed on too long. The control seems to be very precise.

Comments about Honeywell Honeywell Digital LineVoltProT 7000 Non-Programmable Heat Only Thermostat:
I'm using this to replace 40 year old bi-metal thermostats that are doing a poor job. The old thermostats are impossible to set, either the knob is off, or move it a little, and the heat is stuck on. These new thermostats offer EXACT temperature settings, and will run the heat at 25, 50, 75, or 100%, depending on need. Also are easy to use. No confusing programming to do. Just push the up or down button. After installing, our electric bill was less, because the old thermostat was wasting heat.
