This guard is a good value. It's a simple and easy to use solution to secure controls. My only dissapointment is that the metal catch for the cam lock is pretty thin and it can be conpromised pretty easily.

This was a wonderful box but not for my place to install it. My hallway is too narrow and the box sticks out too far. Possible liability issue. But you really can't mess with the thermostat with this box over it as you can't even see what the settings are on it. Wonderful idea but I had the wrong place to put it. Basement or unobtrusive area is needed for installation of this box. My tenants rent a bedroom. But with 6 tenants in one house, nobody is happy with the temperature come summer or winter. I as the landlord must take control or else they would have the energy blasting and the front door open and me in the poor house.

just place on the wall cover and lock it closed so very simple!
It keeps annoying relatives and visitors from adjusting your thermostat.

[...].I am happy with this product.It was very easy to install.It is not possible to look into to see how the thermastat might be tampered with.It has plenty of ventilation for correct temperature readings.I understand you can't please everyone, but if I were to be aked what could be improved, I would say give us 2 keys instead of only 1 and improve on the locking stregnth.The lock only catches on a punched out tab.A person could just pull on it with only a little effort and bend this tab, opening the unit.I would reccomend this to a friend but not a landlord

These covers were purchased and installed to protect thermostats from errant bhasketballs in a church gym. They are worthless for that purpose. The tab which engages the lock mechanism is so weak that upon proper installation, a slight bump of the open hand against any corner knocked the covers off.

We ordered this to combat the problem of employees turning up the heat in winter to heat our garages. This item worked well, was easy to install and is tamper-proof. The only downside is that the lock just barely catches. This could be opened if someone really cared to play with it. We have installed several of these and I would recommend them to others.

Very heavy duty should hold up for a long time. Lots better then the plastic ones we had before.
