The product was as described[...] was super easy to install. I have a child that sleepwalks, and has begun to adjust the thermostat during his "night wanderings". After a couple of really high energy bills, I decided to put a lockable cover on my thermostat control. It has served it's purpose well, and I am looking forward to my electric bills getting back to normal.

Purchased 10 of these large thermostat lock boxes to cover the thermostats in a public library. The price was good and the quality was great. They installed easily and are doing a wonderful job of keeping our patrons from changing the thermostat settings.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this cover, it works great to keep my 6 year old from turning my thermostat off or down based on HIS needs! LOL! It's nice to no longer wonder whether the air is on or off due to how low my thermostat was installed on the wall by the apartment complex(4 feet above the floor).

They work they go on easy they deter people from touching. Plastic is somewhat flimsy so it won't stand up to much abuse. The locking mechanism is somewhat tight.

Could not find measurements of the product (8 1/8 x 3 5/8 x 4 5/8) when ordering, so of course it is much larger than I need. I found that it doesn't lock very well, but the kids have not figured that out yet.

Time will tell as far as durability goes, but I pulled on it a few times ... and I don't think our invisible "thermostat adjuster" will be able to get to the controls.

Breaks easily because of design. Would be nice if it swung open on a hinge. Otherwise, wonderful.

Easy to install, however, "hinge" tab does not hold cover securely when opening to adjust thermostat. Air circulation slots are arranged in such a way that it is very easy to change manual (old style analog with lever control on top, not digital) thermostat temperature setting. Only came with one key, however, this is moot because you don't even have to insert the key more than about 1/8" in order to be able turn the lock assembly. Not secure at all. Pretty much defeats the whole purpose of having a locked cover.

Easy to install, but you have to be careful when opening the front to change the thermostat, because the prongs that hold it together are easy to break off.
