i am just a regular home owner who likes to do my own work. i am not a professional electrician or plumber, but found most things are easy if you try. with me i replaced and older version with the new. usally don't read the directions but in this case i did for proper wiring hook-up. so, took about ten minutes to read and comprehend and another 10 -15 to get my tools needed and install. right the first time, turned it over to my wife for progaming and everything has been fine. again, i am not a professional, just a do it yourself type guy. the product was [...]easy to install and worked properly on the first shot. so i had a very good experiance and would reccommend to others.thanksbob cottrell from rhode island

Nice big display, easy to read, only 1 shot at the initial setup so be prepared.

Good 7 day unit for the price. I don't like the fact that you need to open the door to activate the light.
It also doesn't mount as firmly to the wall as most others. The front doesn't seem to snap into the base very well, so when you open the door it feels like it wants to pull the unit out of the base. I'd probably go with the Bareburn if I did it over.

Unit was easy to install. Programing is easy after you figure it out...takes a couple of times to get fast at that. When passcode locked no adjustments possible. Must re-enter code each time.Program schedules safe without locking because unit has ability to be adjusted with the push of the temp buttons but will return to schedule settings in 3 hours when not locked. All buttons needed are visible and those that do schedule changes hidden.Used for church and it works great. The building is warm when we get there and units shut down when we leave. Should save $$$.

The unit has decent instructions on programming, and installation. The wiring instructions are a bit cryptic, since I wanted to use it with power from the oil burner relay (and use the battery for back-up only)and finally realized I needed a third wire providing 24V to power the unit.I had old two wire thermostats I was replacing. Once I ran new thermostat wires and hooked them up properly the unti worked well. This will also control AC and a fan if you have that need. It has a good selection of options you can set, such as having the screen lit or not lit full time, but if you turn this off, you can still light up the screen for a few seconds with the "light" button. Keep the instruction booklet, since you may need to make changes in the future.

This was a breeze to hook up, took no longer then 20 minutes. Its straight forward with installation and setup. Don't hesitate in buying this item.

Physical installation was easy (I liked that it included stickers to label the wires before removing them from the old thermostat). Settings the daily schedules was a little confusing and I had to reread the instructions before I got it right.

The display is easy to read. Does everything it's supposed to do as a programmable thermostat.

Consistently reads two degrees higher than our old thermostat, but I don't know which one is right.

This is a great product, it is easy to use and installation was fairly easy. I purchased 17 for use in an apartment facillity. The only problem I encountered was there is not enough room for any extra wire. If you leave the wire too long the cover does not fit properly. Make sure you remove all of the exposed outer sheild and cut your wires to no more than 2". All 17 units were within 1 degree of calibration and all worked great.

Only t'stat that I found that had all I wanted: Separate Rc & Rh, Can override 1 to 23 hrs., Temp hold (fixed setpoint), 7 day, 4/day, 24v &/or battery, (NOT Lithium battery), On/off differential greater than 0.5 deg. (is adjustable), buttons not touchscreen, plus more, and at a good price.
The cover should be nothed out so the backlight can be activated without opening the cover. I notched this one with my Dremel grinder w/ a rotary burr cutter. Looks good.

I decided to replace an old circular thermostat that wasn't showing the proper temperature. This thermostat fixed that problem. It has a large display that is extremely easy to read and all the features I could ever need (filter reminder, 7-day programmable, etc..). I especially liked the fact that it was about $50 cheaper than other models with the same features. I didn't have any problems installing this product and it doesn't seem to cycle the ac on and off as much as my old one. I am very happy with this product.

The heat for the morning temperature comes on earlier than what the schedule is set for. The schedule is set for 64 degrees at 7:00 AM, but starts about 6:15 AM. All other settings are seem good.

The Robershaw RS6110 was easy to install. Took my time inspecting the setup on the old thermostat and marking/identifying the wiring to match up with the new Robertshaw. I particularly like the large temp digital readout. Easy to operate once you familiarize yourself with the manual.

Our church needed a programmable thermostat that could be set for individual days, since our schedule of activities differ day by day. This unit was the perfect solution. Already we are seeing the savings by keeping the building warm only when it is in use. And the Hold feature makes it easy to override the set point for a specified number of hours - so you don't need to remember to remove the Hold. Team leaders are clear we will indeed turn the heat on when it's needed, so they are happier. Works great!

Recommend highly. Only problem seems to be the cover on the thermostat does not seem to pivot easily. It could be that I bungled it on install and if I worked at it longer it would pivot more easily. Once you get your schedule in, though, you hardly ever need to flip the cover up.

The adjustable dead-band allows you to 'tune' your heating system for its optimum response based on your homes heat-loss characteristics.

The automatic fan settings are an excellent feature. The temporary override feature is very convenient and easy to use. The security lock-out is great. Overall very happy with the product.
