So far this model seems to work as promised. It only took a couple minutes to program and it's easy to operate as well. My only regret is that this model doesn't have the feature to show outdoor temperature. I would recommend this product for someone who wants a digital, programmable thermostat that is simple, yet reliable, and looks good on the wall.

I ordered this thermostat because it was one of the only ones I could find that provides a remote sensor capability. I have a large master bedroom with many windows. We like to keep the double door to the room closed to keep the cats out, and the room tends to be the coldest in winter and warmest in summer vs. the rest of the house. I bought the 9700i along with the 9020i remote sensor, and the remote was installed in the master on the wall near the door.
The problem is completely solved, and the master is finally comfortable. I haven't tried it yet, but I think the intermittent fan option will save me money, especially in the summer. I haven't seen a remote option or intermittent fan option on ANY other thermostat out there, so in my book RobertShaw has a winner.

Once set I never have to mess with it, works great. Especially the fan cycle feature I run 5 min on and 25 min off. Keeps my two story single zone home a constant temperature upstairs and downstairs. This low duty cycle saves electricity compared to 100%. If your furnance / AC has a common connection you may want to consider the similiar unit that doesn't need batteries.
