works great with the remote sensor to minimize the time the system stays on no matter which mode you use. This thermostat does many many different things. When you get it set it keeps it exactly where you wanted.

Using to control AC with 2 stage (electric aux) Heat pump. This was the only programmable T-Stat I found with adjustable differential control and this one has Primary, secondary and tertiary(if necessary). In combination to that, heat strip and compressor lockout with outdoor sensor. IMO, this is the only way to take efficient control of your heat pump. I have already saved about $40 bucks in one month having the ability to control the aux heat strips for the weather conditions in my area.

Had to have a Pro help install it... one of the wires should have gone to a different terminal than the chart indicated.
Once installed, had a little trouble figuring out how to get the thing set and not on a program.
Now that I have the controls down, I really love it!
Best thing is, my wiring is located in a hallway that doesn't get enough circulation because doors are always shut. Having remote sensor for the main part of the house is really super

Comments about Braeburn Braeburn Model 5300 Digital Programmable Thermostat:
Purchased the thermostat because it had a remote sensor. Directions specified an outdoor sensor and an indoor sensor. Took several tries to realize the outdoor sensor was referring to the remote temperature sensor.
Setup is a little clunkier than my previous one, but not bad.
Bright display is great.
So far, has worked just fine and would expect it to give me years of long life use.

Circulate option is a great feature: evens out temperature through-out entire house, keeps rooms from getting stale even if heat or A/C isn't needed.

Comments about Braeburn Braeburn Model 5300 Digital Programmable Thermostat:
It a good solid thermostat. I like how I can set 4 different temperature zones per day. I had a really old Honeywell installed in there, so their installation instructions didn't help (move the wire connected from 'R' to 'R'--well there isn't an 'R' on my old thermostat...) but that's not their fault. Great so far.

Comments about Braeburn Braeburn Model 5300 Digital Programmable Thermostat:
I purchased this unit for two reasons; 1) Recirculation fan mode, 2) Offered remote sensor support. I heat my home in the winter months with 65k BTU wood pellet stove. This thermostat is used to control the primary/central furnace from the first floor. I use a Braeburn remote sensor on the second floor. The Recirc mode works very well and does a good job of moving the stove heat throughout the house. On very cold nights when the stove struggles the 2nd floor remote sensor triggers this thermostat to start up the primary furnace, adding more heat to the upstairs. If you use a stove or fireplace to heat your home this is a must have solution to control your primary furnace to balance your home.
