Braeburn Model 1000 1 Heat/1 Cool Non-Programmable Thermostat The digital non-programmable thermostat shall be a Braeburn®, model number 1000, 3.75" high x 4.94" wide x 1.19" deep, powered by two "AA" Alkaline batteries (3.0 Volt DC). The thermostat shall be compatible with single stage gas, oil or electric heating or cooling systems including single stage heat pumps and 250mv - 750mv millivolt heating systems. The thermostat shall have a bright blue backlight display, front loading battery door and separate sub-base for trouble free installation. Temperature control range shall be between 45° and 90° F (7° and 32° C), accuracy of +/- 1° F (+/- .5° C), humidity range between 5% and 95% relative humidity. A front reset button will return user settings to default values when pressed. The thermostat can be mounted to a horizontal junction box. FEATURES: . Bright Blue Display Backlight . I bought this model as a replacement for my Mother's programmable model, which she couldn't use. Best part was the wiring was very similar to the Braeburn programmable model. However, it is still too hard to adjust; you have to hold down a button to get into the setup mode, and then hit the up or down buttons before it drops out of setup mode. I was hoping for a simple up button for warmer, and down for cooler.

Had these units installed by heating contractor in my downstairs office. Holds temperature very well. Purchased a round Honeywell digital for upstairs apartment, but thermostat read 5 degrees above actual. Had to set at 72 to get heat at 67. Replaced with Model 1000 and works simply, accurately, and looks attractive as well.
